Sunday School

Sunday School

FAUMC offers Christian Education on Sunday mornings for people of all ages. Sunday School takes place 9-10 a.m., September through May. Read about the Christian Education goals that have been set for our preschoolers through 12th graders.  To register a preschooler through 12th grader for Sunday or Wednesday School programming please complete a Registration Form and return to the church office.

Every Sunday morning during the school year Pastors Marci and Rich lead a Sunday School class for adults in the Wesley Room. Topics vary from theology and Bible studies to spirituality and current events. All adults are welcome.

Our junior high students (7th-8th grades) follow a two-year study through the Crossings curriculum. The class places a focus on how lessons in the Bible may fit into the context of one’s own life. The 8th grade students are invited to participate in Confirmation classes held once a month on Wednesday evenings.

Our senior high students (9th-12th grades) study a variety of topics which rotate every four years. These topics typically include a deeper look at the book of John, an understanding of World Religions, a discussion of healthy relationships/pop culture and the Bible, and a study of John Wesley. Various studies based on youth or teacher interest are also included throughout the year. Some morning classes are occasionally held at the nearby Caribou Coffee!

Preschoolers through 6th graders participate in a curriculum-based Sunday School. FAUMC families enjoy the traditional class structure, where each grade attends their own class. Bible lessons are taught by a dedicated set of adult volunteers who bring these lessons to life through crafts, role play, games, video clips, and discussions.
